2011-2012 Tuition SCRIP Contract

Volunteers will also be selling SCRIP before and after school on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

The Scrip Program at Saint Vincent’s School is an all-school participation program. This program was implemented for the 2009/2010 school year. By making this change, Saint Vincent’s has eliminated its Fall Gift-wrap Fundraiser.

Each family is required to purchase $225 per month in scrip over 10 months or $2,250 during the school year (this is accumulative). Though this may sound like a lot, all families typically purchase goods and services monthly in excess of this amount. Scrip facilitates these pre-existing spending patterns. Families who wish to opt out of the program can do so by writing a check to Saint Vincent’s for $225 (each school year) or $22.50 can be added to the monthly tuition contract.

SCRIP CARDS ARE PURCHASED AND OPERATE LIKE CASH. Scrip cards are available through a national provider and are available for dozens of local retailers. Grocery Stores, Gas Stations, Restaurants and Retailers are included on the diverse list of Scrip participants. The value of scrip is that it pays a percentage back to the school so dollar for dollar St. Vincent’s sees financial benefits. For example, a family buying a $100 scrip card to a grocery store will receive a $100 value in the form of a gift card. The grocery store contributes 5% or $5.00 of the gift cards face value to our school. The percentage varies by retailers ranging anywhere from 1% to 10%.

An important element of the Scrip program is it does not require any additional purchases outside your existing family budget. In fact, the Scrip program can assist families to further budget monthly expenditures; assigning set spending to categories such as food, gas, dining and clothing.

You will be called when your on-line order is available for pick up.

Scrip is a wonderful way to raise money for a variety of school activities and needs. The proceeds for this program help enhance our school throughout the academic year.
