SALT LAKE CITY — Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic School encourages students to learn for the mind, body, and soul. Our teachers and administration work diligently with students to make sure that high academic standards and Catholic values are fostered.

Below are some of the active learning experiences that help Saint Vincent de Paul students build self-esteem, discipline, creativity, and teamwork.

Catholic Identity and Community Service

• Daily Prayer and Religion Classes
• Weekly Mass Attendance
• Seasonal Prayer Services
• Annual Saint Parade, May Crowning, Living Rosary Program, Bible Ceremony
• Monthly Virtues Program
• Adopt three Senior Centers: Students visit monthly and participate in projects with senior citizens
• Monthly Offering to Non-Profit Organizations: Students learn about a different agency each month, donate, and then selected students deliver check from monies collected, and tour facilities
• Helping Hands Program: All students give individual community service hours
• Food and Clothing Collection Drives
• Hat Tree Project: Students write creative stories and decorate accompanying hats for Primary Children’s Oncology Unit and Shriner’s Hospital
• Intermountain Healthcare Partnership

• Many Educational Field trips
• Accelerated Math Classes for Middle School Students
• Hands-on Science Education Program
• Science Fair, Geography, and Mock Trial Competitions
• Mexico Travel Exchange Program for Middle School
• Dynamic Computer Curriculum in State-of- the-Art Computer Lab
• Extra Curricular Activities: sports, band, choir, theater, chess, golf and snow skiing Fine Arts Programs
• Diverse Music Program for All Grades: Hand bells, guitar, beginning and honor bands, percussions, and school choir
• Artist in Residence: A visiting artist works with all students teaching them new art mediums
• Kindergarten Opera: Solely created and performed by students in conjunction with Utah Opera
• Art Enrichment Program: Weekly lessons highlighting famous artists, culminating with an art show
• Missoula Children’s Theatre: week-long performing arts program for all students
• Shakespeare Play performed by 8th grade students
