Celebrate Service!
January 30 – February 5
Saturday, January 30
1. Representative students will participate in the 5:00pm Mass as altar servers, ushers, gift bearers, and liturgical musicians.
2. A dinner will follow Mass.
3. Those who wear their uniform to that Mass, a Mass at any other time, or another church service will receive a free dress pass.
Monday, February 1
1. Each day this week, the religion teachers will speak to the students about the four “Dividends for Life”: Faith, Knowledge, Discipline, and Morals.
2. Free Dress for students who wore their uniform to Mass or other church service.
3. Since this is the year of the priest, each classroom will be visited by the priest they pray for sometime this week.
4. Koins for Kenya Assembly—Gym 2:00
Tuesday, February 2: Family Appreciation Day
1. Today bring your lunch and eat with your child/children.
Children with last names ending in A-L: Recess 11:35-11:50, Lunch 11:50-12:20
Children with last names ending in M-Z: Recess 12:20-12:35, Lunch 12:35-1:05
Please note: Regular hot lunch will be served on this day.
Wednesday, February 3: Student Appreciation Day
1. Students will have free dress. They may also wear a crazy hat and/or socks, or pair with other students in their class as “twins” and wear the same outfit.
2. The 5th through 8th grades will play basketball games and the younger grades may come to cheer them on.
3. Teachers will not assign homework today.
Thursday, February 4: “Family” Appreciation Day
1. Winter Activities: Students will do various fun activities in the snow with their school “families” (grades K-8). Please bring appropriate snow clothes. If there is not sufficient snow, we will do an activity in which the 8th graders will read three favorite picture books to their families.
Friday, February 5: Faculty Appreciation Day
1. Student Council members will serve coffee, tea, or hot chocolate to the faculty and staff.
2. 9:00 Mass: Please come and sit with your child(ren). There will be a special collection at Mass for Koins for Kenya. |
