Mark received his B.A. in Geography and German from Cal State Fullerton.
He has a Masters in Catholic School Administration from University of
San Francisco. He taught middle school for eight years and was vice principal
for three years at St. Vincent ’s before becoming Principal. He has been
St. Vincent’s principal for 13 years, is married with three children, two who
attend Judge and one who attends the University of Gonzaga . Mark enjoys traveling, reading and
playing racquetball.
Monsignor Mannion
Monsignor Mannion was born in Ireland and has been a priest for 38 years.
In 1992 he became a Monsignor. He has been the pastor at St.
Vincent’s Parish and School since 2003.
Vice Principal: Gary Green

Gary has been the vice principal at Saint Vincent’s since 2007. Prior to that Gary taught 5th grade
for 11 years at various Catholic Schools in Utah. Gary was a graduate
of Cosgriff and Judge Memorial Catholic
High School. He received his degree from the University of Utah in
Political Science and received his Masters in teaching from the University of
Portland. Gary is married and has two sons. He loves being a dad,
running with his dogs and also has a passion for singing.
Development Director: Carol Barman

Carol graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a B.A.
in Economics. Most of her career has been in corporate finance
although she worked for a non profit for 8 years in finance and development.
This is her 11th year as the Development Director for our school.
She has a son who attends University of Arizona and a daughter who just
graduated from the University of Washington. She enjoys movies,
especially the Sundance Film Festival, going on vacations and trying new
restaurants.
Development Office Assistant: Jodie Palmer
This will be Jodie’s 4th year helping out in the
Development Office. Jodie is
married with three children, one who attends the University of San Francisco,
and two at Judge Memorial High School.
Jodie has a degree from the University of Utah in Public Relations and
prior to working at Saint Vincent’s has worked in the hotel industry, various
marketing jobs and was the Executive Director for the Utah Brain Injury
Association for four years. Jodie loves traveling, snow skiing,
water skiing, scrapbooking and being outdoors.
Secretary: Rosemary Bennett

This is Rosemary’s 18th year as our school secretary. She is very
kind, compassionate and knows everything there is to know about our school.
She helps Mr. Longe with various tasks, answers any questions students
and parents have and oversees all office procedures. She is married and
has 4 children and 7 grandchildren, six of whom attend St. Vincent’s School.
Office Assistant: Marjorie Sansone

This is Marjorie’s 4th year as an office assistant. She helps Rosemary with various front office tasks
assisting students and parents throughout the school year. Prior to working at Saint Vincent’s
she volunteered in classrooms, and worked on the auction and being an art
volunteer. She is married and has one child
that attends Saint Vincent’s and two who attend Judge Memorial High School. She also enjoys animals, scrapbooking,
art and attending all of her children’s sports events.

This will be Carol‘s 10th year working at St. Vincent’s, this being her 5th year as our Pre-K Teacher. Carol jobshares this position with Jamie
Rawlings. Carol graduated from
Temple University in Philadelphia with a Masters of Arts in Developmental
Psychology. Carol is married and has three children. Carol loves preparing the
preschoolers for school especially in a fun and loving environment.

Kindergarten Teacher: Mary Williams

Mary Williams received her B.S. degree in Early Childhood Education from the
University of Utah. She has taught for 29 years. After teaching
in Granite District for 13 years, she took three years off to be a “Stay at
Home Mom”. She has been married to her husband, Galen, for 35
years. They have 2 amazing daughters.Mary resumed teaching at St. Vincent’s 17 years ago as
librarian and this is her 13th year as our kindergarten teacher. She is
originally from Spokane, WA. Her creative style encourages her students
to love school while learning through play, cooperation, discipline,
responsibility, respect and love for God and his creations. Watch for the annual
“Kindergarten Opera” this Spring.
Kindergarten Aide: Tiffany Bonner
This is Tiffany ’s first year working at Saint Vincent’s, however she
has taught Pre-K for seven years prior.
She and her husband Ken have been married 20 years. They have two sons, a 15 year old and
13 year old. They enjoy
watching both their boys play baseball and absolutely love The Red Sox! Tiffany enjoys spending time with her
family and traveling.
1st Grade Teacher: Jeanne M. Pence

Mrs. Pence has over 32 years experience in teaching and educational
consulting projects. She has degrees in Early Childhood Development, B.S. in
Elementary Education, Masters in Curriculum Development, Special Education
Endorsement in Learning Disabilities, and was participating in the University
of Chicago’s Erickson Institute on Brain Research, before returning to Salt
Lake City. Mrs. Pence is a graduate of St. Mary’s of the Wasatch.
She has received the following honors: The Disney American Award
Nomination; Heart of The School Award, Innovation and Creativity Award,
Rising Star Award, Peace and Justice Award from the Office of Catholic
Schools of the Archdiocese of Chicago, andOutstanding Educator of the Diocese of Salt Lake City in 2005. Mrs. Pence collaborated with Utah
Opera Composer, Jolene Clarke to write “This is Utah” for the State Capitol
rededication in 2007. She is the
proud mother of: George (Princeton 2002, University of Virginia law School
2005) Gregory (Dartmouth 2006, currently a Fulbright Grantee in Seoul, Korea)
and Mary Catherine (St. Mary’s
Notre Dame 2006) Mrs. Pence has a passion for teaching
and empowering her beloved students.
1st Grade Aide: Jean Spicer
This will be Jean ’s fourth year as the 1st grade aide at
St. Vincent’s school. She graduated from the University of Utah with a
B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies. She loves working in the
education field because she loves children. She was a Secretary in the
Granite School District for 20 years. She has been married to Charlie
for 45 years and has three daughters and three granddaughters all who attend
St. Vincents (Mariah 5th grade, Samantha 3rd grade and
Kaitlyn in 1st grade). Her greatest accomplishment in life
is being a Grandma. Jean also enjoys sewing, reading and spending time
with her family.
2nd Grade Teacher: Rhea Hristou

Rhea is from Montana and has a B.S. in Elementary Education from Montana
State University and a Masters in Education from the University of Utah.
Rhea has been teaching for 34 years, 17 of which have been at St.
Vincent’s. She received the top educator award from the Diocese of Salt Lake
in 2007. She is married and has
three children. Rhea loves technology and incorporates it into her
classroom as much as possible. In addition, Rhea has always been able
to find that one thing that is special in each child.
2nd Grade Aide: Teresa Daily
This will be Teresa ’s 8th year as an aide at St Vincent’s. She is married and has 2 children. She grew up in Ohio and then lived in
Illinois where she worked in the real estate field. She moved to Salt Lake 8
years ago when her husband got transferred to Utah.Teresa enjoys traveling , spending time with her family,
and attending their sporting events.
3rd GradeTeacher : Kara Haney

Kara received her BA in Early Childhood education from Westminster College
with a minor in Spanish. She has taught for seven years and this is her
6th year at St.
Vincent’s. Kara is an active Parish
member for the past 18 years, and is excited to be “home”. Kara
has a four year old who attends St. Vincent’s preschool and a two year old
who attended the Nano Nagle Childcare Center on the St. Vincent’s Campus.
4th Grade: Cindy McDowell

Cindy has been teaching at St. Vincent’s for 19 years. She received
her B.S. from University of Utah in speech pathology and audiology, and has a
B.A. in Elementary Education from Westminster College and a Masters in Math
from WGU. She was raised in Salt Lake City and has two children, Nathan
a 11th grader and Lauren a 8th grader.
4th Grade Aide: Pamela Khan
This will be Pamela’s 3rd year as
an aide. She is married and has
two boys, one who attends the University of Utah and one who attends Judge

5th Grade: Terry Stack

Terry has been teaching 35 years full time and 6 part time, 22 of which
have been at St. Vincent’s. She is the most senior member of our
teacher staff. Terry received her B.S. in Elementary Education from Montana
State University. She also received her social sciences degree from
Pepperdine University. She coordinates the youth masses at St. Thomas
More Parish. She is the proud mother of Ryan and Tyler. She is
also the doting grandmother of Aiden (7) who is a second grader at Saint
Vincent’s.

is Erica’s third year teaching at Saint Vincent’s.She has a Bachelor in Arts in English from Messiah College
in Pennsylvania. Erica hails
from the east coast and grew up in Trumbull, Connecticut. She received her teaching certificate
from Utah Valley University in 2007. She has lived in Utah for six years and
was working in marketing for Marriott Vacation club. She loves to read, snowboard, hike,
camp and travel. Erica is a
newlywed and enjoys the Saint Vincent Community.
8th Grade Teacher: Deborah McFarlane

Deborah joined the St. Vincent faculty in January
2005. She graduated summa cum laude from Utah State University with a B.S.
degree in elementary education and has served on the Utah Catholic School
Board. She enjoys the energy and idealism of her middle school students.
Deborah has a daughter who attends St. Vincent’s, a son who attends Judge
Memorial Catholic High School and one son who attends University of
Utah. Deborah enjoys traveling and reading Shakespeare.

teachers. Sarah graduated from De Paul University in Chicago with a
B.S. in Accounting and Personal Management. Most of her career has been
in corporate accounting. She has a son and daughter, who attend the
University of Utah and a son who is in the 6th grade here at Saint
Vincent’s. She enjoys dancing,
teaching math and art, doing all kinds of puzzles and spending time with her
family.

Teacher: Monica Howa-Johnson

This will be Monica’s first year teaching at Saint Vincent’s. Monica attended Cosgriff and Judge
Memorial and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Utah
and a Masters in Teaching from the University of Portland. She taught 3 years of Middle school
religion at St. Vincent’s 15 years ago, then taught for 2 years at Juan Diego
Catholic High School. From
there, she worked for the Diocese of Salt Lake City for 5 years as Director
of Communications and Safe Environment.
She is in her 2nd year as the Docies’s Lay Ecclesial
Ministry Formation Program. She
has been married to Brent for 11 years and has Genevieve in 2nd and Zach in Pre-K. She also
enjoys singing, playing the guitar, mountain biking, hiking, reading and is
excited to be back teaching religion at St. Vincent’s.
6th/7th/8th Upper Math: Sarh Niemann

Tina has helped in the school and church office for several
years. This year she will be an assistant to our middle school teachers
and help them with various tasks throughout the year.
Computer Teacher: Andrew Ferree

This will be Andrew’s 4th year as our computer teacher. He
graduated with a degree in Business Management from Western Illinois
University. Prior to coming to Saint Vincent’s, Andrew worked for the
Latin School, a K-12 private school, in the Chicago area. One of his
projects there was working with students to build their own computers.
Andrew enjoys computers in general, and the Utah outdoors: skiing, mountain
biking and hiking.
Music Teacher: Radu Noaghiu

Radu is from Romania and has a degree in music and specialty training
in conducting choir, orchestra and piano. He graduated from the Transylvania
Music University and got his masters degree from the University of Utah in
conducting orchestra. He moved to Salt Lake City in 1999. This is
his 12th year teaching at our school. He teaches music to all grades at
St. Vincent’s and St. Olaf's Catholic School in Salt Lake.
Spanish Teacher: Ana Facelliafacelli@stvincents-school.org Ana
was born in Buenos Ares, Argentina and received her master’s in hearing and
speech therapy from Universidad del Museo Social Argentino. She has been living in
the United States for 28 years.
She has been teaching Spanish for 24 years, the last 12 at Saint
Vincent’s. She will teach
Spanish to all grade levels.
Librarian:
Giselle Airriess

Now, beginning her thirteenth year as our librarian, Giselle is originally from Saskatchewan, Canada,
earning her degree in Theatre from the University of Saskatchewan. She
loves bringing the written word to life, discovering what is waiting in a
book, and helping the students and staff with “the right book at the right
time!” She is also the coordinator of the reading tutor program at
Saint Vincent’s.
PE Teacher: Patty Bradley

Patty was born in Ogden, Utah and has been part of Utah Catholic Schools for
over 40 years. First as a student of St. Joseph Schools, then as a
teacher at Judge Memorial and the Madeleine Choir School, then as a volunteer
at Blessed Sacrament and in the Advancement Office at Juan Diego Catholic
High School. She is married and has 3 children. In her spare time
she enjoys skiing, golfing and good company. This is Patty’s 5th year teaching at St. Vincent’s.
Special Education Teacher: Kay Hamilton

This is Kay’s 8th year at St. Vincent’s. We are fortunate to have her
working with our individual students who have mild learning disabilities.
She has her B.A in Anthropology from University of Utah and a Special
Education Certificate from Utah State in mild and moderate learning
disabilities. Kay also has an ESL Endorsement in English as a 2nd
language. She has worked as a resource teacher for 8 years prior to
coming to St. Vincent’s. Kay has 4 children, all of whom graduated from
St. Vincent’s.
Nano Nagle/Extended Day Director: Jeramie

Jeramie
is the director of the Nano Nagle Childcare facility located on the Saint
Vincent property. This is a new
infant through 3 year old childcare center which opened in 2009. She is also the coordinator for the
Extended Day Center at Saint Vincent’s.
Jeramie has a degree in Early Childhood Education. Prior to coming to
Saint Vincent’s Jeramie was a teacher at Cosgriff Elementary for 8 years. She has been married for 9 years and
has two sons (one who attends Saint Vincent’s and one who goes to Nano Nagle. Jeramie enjoys spending time with her
family outside of working.
Band/Choir/Music Teacher: Scott Larrabee

Scott is a native of Utah and attended St. Olaf’s and Judge Memorial. He has
a bachelor’s degree in music education from DePaul University in Chicago and
a master’s degree in theology from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. He taught K-8 general music for ten
years in the Chicago and Dubuque archdioceses before moving back to Utah
direct the music at Juan Diego, a position he held from 2002-2006.
Scott has extensive choral directing experience directing the professional
Assumption Festival Choir in downtown Chicago and the Collegiate Singers at
the University of Dubuque. He also has been a church musician for twenty
years. Scott’s family includes his wife, Angelique who cantors at St.
Vincent’s, two sons, Peter age9 and Joel age 8, and a 5 year old daughter
Lucinda. He and his wife have a passion for old homes, cooking unusual
cuisine, playing Renaissance music, camping, and hiking.
Counselor: Corinne Johnson
Corinne, LCSW, is the Director of Counseling Services at Holy Cross
Ministries. Corinne is a licensed clinical social worker with a school
counseling certification. She holds a Master ’s Degree in Clinical
Social Work practice from the University of Utah. Corrine provides
clinical services to students at St. Vincent’s on a weekly basis. This
is her 9th year at St. Vincent’s
School Accountant: Jody Gibson

Jody has been the accountant for St. Vincent’s parish and school for the last
14 years. Jody has an associate degree in accounting. She is
married is has two daughters ages 24 and 19. She loves to golf,
photography, going camping and being a mom. Jody handles all the
tuition payments, payroll and does all the financial statements for the
school. Jody is in the office on Wednesday’s and Friday’s and works from
home on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
