Welcome Back: We hope you had a great summer and look forward to the 2010/2011 school year.
First Day of School: Monday, August 23rd at 8:15 a.m. with a 12:30 p.m. dismissal
Back to School Night: will be held in the school gym, Tuesday, August 31st at 6:00 pm. We ask at least one parent to attend back to school night. Information about the school year will be given and then parents will meet with their student’s teacher/teachers to hear about the upcoming year.
Band: Honor Band begins August 31st. Beginning Band Clinic for potentially interested students is on Tuesday the 7th and Wednesday the 8th of September from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Come and learn what band instrument your student might want to play. Beginning band begins September 13th.
Choir: Our school has a choir and will meet after school on Wednesdays and is open for students who are in grades 3rd through 8th. An information flyer will be coming home soon. The choir will begin in September.
Auction News: A fun auction is in the works and is set for Saturday, February 12th, 2011. Mark your calendars now!!! This year’s theme is A FEAST MEDIEVIL. Graham Ferree is our chair this year. We are currently seeking volunteers to help with several committees. If you want to be involved with a fun group of people and help plan our only fundraiser of the year, please call Carol Barman at 527-2043.
NO SCHOOL: September 6th for Labor Day Observance.
SAT TESTING: September 27th through October 1st. .Students in 2nd through 8th grades will have SAT tests during this week. Please make sure your student gets a good night sleep and eats breakfast before coming to school.
NEW FAMILY SOCIAL GET TOGETHER: For families new to our St. Vincent community we invite you to meet your mentor family at this get together. This will be held for your family on September 1st in the Holy Family Hall. (More information to follow)
PICTURE DAY: Scheduled September 14, 2010. Full Uniform required.
All School Mass: Monday, September 27th at 9:00 a.m. celebrating the student council induction and the Feast of St. Vincent’s.
