Auction News: The “School of Rock” Auction was held on February 6, 2010. Thanks to all of the parents who dressed up as Rockstars. Everyone had fun! We netted $93,000 for the school. This year’s funds will allow us to purchase new history and Spanish books, purchase software for our computer lab, put in automatic blinds in the school gym to darken for performances and assemblies, re-carpet the remaining classrooms, allocate money to each teacher for educational field trips, purchase more library books and accelerated reader tests for the library, and provide tuition assistance to our families in need. Thanks for attending the auction, donating to the auction, volunteering with setup, clean up or at the night of the auction or buying or selling raffle tickets.
Parent/Teacher conferences and Art Gallery: Parent Teacher Conferences will be held March 18th and 19th. In addition, we will have a display of all the art our students have been doing throughout the year. Please stop by and see this fabulous display of great artists.
All School Mass (4th grade doing readings): March 17th, 9:00 a.m.
All School Mass (3rd grade doing readings): April 29th, 9:00 a.m.
Missoula Children’s Theatre: We are please to announce that Missoula Children’s Theatre will be here from March 22nd through March 27th.. (This is a one week intense training for our actors at heart after school during that week.) This year’s production will be PINOCCHIO. There are 50-60 parts, no acting experience needed. Please encourage your student to tryout on Monday, March 22nd after school in the gym. The Play will be held Saturday March 27th at 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $6.00. We encourage all parents and their student’s to come and support our students who work hard all week to put on the Pinocchio production.
St. Patrick’s Day Parade: St. Vincent’s will be participating in the St. Patrick’s Day parade in downtown Salt Lake City on Saturday, March 13th. We encourage students and their families to be dressed in green and walk the parade representing our school. Home and School organizes this event so please watch for details.
Donuts for Dad/Muffins for Mom: April 15th at 7:30 a.m. Before school come with your student and enjoy coffee and treats. This is also a way to thank all of the volunteers that have helped this school year. Sponsored by Home and School Association.
New Student Registration: March 9th from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tell your friends, neighbors and colleagues to come register their student if they are interested in attending St. Vincent’s next year.
Mexico Exchange Students: 7 students were here in February attending classes at St. Vincent’s. Our Students in 6th grade (who were their host family) will be going to Mexico and attending school February 27th through March 15th.
7th/8th Grade Dance: Will be held on April 16th at St. Vincent’s. No Dance in March due to lent.
NO SCHOOL (Professional Educators Day): March 12th
NO SCHOOL (Easter Break): April 2nd through 11th.
Kindergarten Opera: April 21st and 22nd.
Student Council Carnival: April 30th . Games will be set up after school for students to play. Proceeds will go to a charity.
